A synthesis of East & West, old and new, our jewelry designed for Forbidden City Switzerland is the culmination of history coupled with sensual design.

In 2003, as Manhattan found its pulse again, creative ideas followed, whereas jewelry design was the first project focus. Immersed in the heart of New York’s glamour, intensity, and constant motion, the principals drew inspiration from the city’s unique energy. At the same time their world expanded far beyond it.

Inspired by their travels through Asia, the iconic silhouette of the emperor’s coat became a recurring motif. Carried back as a visual memory, it was distilled into gold.

Our designs occupy the niche between fine bijoux and high jewelry.

A dialogue between New York’s spirit and Asian influences. Breathing in the hectic, the daring, and the unfamiliar, the principals transformed these experiences into pieces that reflect movement, identity, and a global perspective.

Rooted in Swiss heritage, the enhancer interprets the globally recognized Swiss cross as a refined two-in-one design also as Buddhist Valas.

The pieces are crafted with the same reverence as their inspirational origin. Using centuries-old carving technique, each piece brings together jade in multiple tones, mother-of-pearl, green and brown topaz, red tiger’s eye and diamonds.
